The Road to uvana

                                                               {aka the Instruction Manual to U}

According to a Google search, “Nirvana is a place of perfect peace and happiness, like heaven. In Hinduism and Buddhism, nirvana is the highest state and where a person's individual desires and suffering go away.” Wow, sign me up!

We all know that true peace and happiness are inside jobs  so I coined the word ‘Uvana’ to mean the highest level of  understanding and acceptance of oneself…or ‘u’. In essence,   a state of enlightenment of self and the accompanying sense  of peace and happiness that can come from that understanding.

                                                          “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom” Aristotle

I believe we each really want that…but often struggle with the logistics. You would think that, at birth, we would be supplied with instruction manuals to ourselves, or at the very least, a map, showing us where to go! But no such luck! We are left to our own devices doing the best we can searching for meaning, purpose, happiness, understanding, love, safety and belonging and a host of other things that we can spend our whole lives looking for…like the answer to…

                                                                                 who am I, really?

                                                                                                                                                why am I here?

     what the heck is up with me making the same mistakes/choices?

                                                                                                      why does _____make me feel________?

Truly, the ultimate journey in this life is understanding ourselves, our interconnectedness to everyone and everything else; staying true to ourselves; being authentic; figuring out where we fit into this amazing jigsaw puzzle; and navigating through this wonderful, tragic, unexpected and unlikely adventure we call life.

But is there an easier way? I mean, I am all for taking the scenic route most of the time, but by choice not out of necessity!

What if instead of spending our entire lives stumbling along, taking every back road and dead end street possible before [or ever] finding the small, winding, overgrown path to uvana, we could take the short cut to uvana?    sounding pretty good, huh?

Using the road trip analogy, The Road To Uvana will take you down many roads on your path to self discovery. This is self-paced and is delivered to your email inbox monthly.                     $25 monthly.
